Contents Page Phototshoot

Main Task:Contents Page Photo shoot January 30

For my contents page photo shoot I took various images which I felt would help represent both the genre of music and the target audience. I did this through careful planning of mise en scene and framing.

In the images above I asked my model to wear a leather jacket with rock style bracelets in order to portray a rocky fashionable style. I also had him hold a microphone to as musical mise en scene to get across that he is an artist. To really get the style of music across I had him do body movements such as the rock hand gesture and sticking his tongue out.

In the image above of the female model, I did her make-up in a way that indie girls would have it. I also gave her a pair of vintage shorts to wear which can be seen in the images below, as vintage clothing is a must have for many rock/indie lovers.

I also took images of merchandise that I have of indie bands such as the MUSE top in the image below. I also used a few images from my front cover photo shoot which I didn't use on my front cover, for example the legs on the image below.

Magazine Contents Page Process

Main Task:Making of the Contents Page February 15

Firstly, I made a rough plan of how I wanted my contents page to look, this then acted as a guide for my as I constructed my contents page on Photoshop.

Then, I made a movie to show the exact process in which I constructed my music magazine contents page:

Double Page Spread Photoshoot

Main Task:Double Page Spread Photo shoot February 25

These are some of the images from my double page spread photo shoot.

I told all of my models to wear indie styled clothing such as Doc Martins and Creepers as this gives a clear representation of the sort of people I want to attract.

In order for the reader to understand that I am collaborating music and fashion together I carefully planned out the mise en scene for my model and had her hold an electric guitar. This helps portray the loud and vibrant rock/indie music.

I took images of mostly female models because my target audience is a female in their late teens so this means they can relate to the models I have chose.

BLARE Magazine Feedback & Analysis

Main Task:Evaluation-BLARE Magazine Questionnaire April 18

In order to get valid feedback I went out and asked 10 young people around the age of my targeted audience so that I could see what they truly feel about it and if they would buy it.

I then took the results from my questionnaire and converted them into a more visual way through graphs and charts. This then allowed me to analyse my results more easily.

As well as producing a questionnaire I also asked similar questions about my magazine to young females and videoed them in order to record their feedback.
